Warning: Letters misusing the name Abraham Law Solicitors Ltd.

Letters have been sent regarding an unclaimed inheritance, which falsely claim to be from "Stuart Haynes" of "Abraham Law Solicitors Ltd".

What is the scam?

The SRA has been informed that letters have been sent to members of the public, regarding an unclaimed inheritance, which falsely claim to be from "Stuart Haynes" of "Abraham Law Solicitors Ltd".

The letters seen by the SRA refer to an unclaimed inheritance worth nine million and five hundred thousand pounds, from the estate of someone with the same surname as the recipient of the letter. The letters seen by the SRA provide the postal address of a genuine firm of solicitors (see below).

The letters also provide the email address of stuart_haynes@abrahamlawsolicitorsltd.co.uk, a telephone number of +(44) 1212 275 012 and a fax number of + (44) 1212 275 016. The letters also include a reference to a website www.abrahamlawsolicitorsltd.co.uk.

Any business or transactions through the email addresses, website or telephone number referred to above, are not undertaken by a solicitor's practice or an individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.

Is there a genuine firm or person?

The SRA does authorise and regulate a genuine firm of solicitors called Abraham Law Solicitors Ltd. The genuine firm has an office address of 302 Windsor Street, Birmingham, West Midlands, B7 4DW.

The genuine contact telephone number for Abraham Law Solicitors Ltd is 0121 517 0057, and the genuine firm has confirmed that it does not have a website.

The SRA does authorise and regulate a genuine solicitor named Stuart Haynes, however he is not employed by, or connected with Abraham Law Solicitors Ltd.

Both the genuine firm and the genuine individual have confirmed that they have no connection to the letters referred to above.
