Reasons/basis

This notification relates to a Decision to prosecute before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal.  This is an independent Tribunal which will reach its own decision after considering all the evidence, including any evidence put forward by the Solicitor.  The Tribunal has certified that there is a case to answer in respect of allegations which are or include that, while in practice as a Solicitor, she: 

1. Between 2016 and September 2021, delayed and/or failed to take adequate steps to progress her client’s claim and she provided her client with misleading information about the progress of his claim. 

2. Between July 2017 and September 2021, failed to provide Mr R, or latterly his new solicitors, with the client file despite numerous requests and a Court Order. 

3. Between 8 March 2021 and 29 September 2021, failed to co-operate with the SRA investigation, by: 

3.1 Failing to provide a copy of Mr R’s file as requested and required;

3.2 Providing evasive and/or misleading information about the provision of the copy file. 

The allegations are subject to a Hearing before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal and are as yet unproven.
