What we are trying to do

We want to ensure the profession understands the SRA’s new transparency rules. We also want to provide them with resources to help them in complying with the requirements.

What's going on

Set to come into effect from 6 December 2018, our new Transparency Rules will improve public access to legal services, by making sure more easy-to-understand information on legal service providers readily available to consumers.

Key areas include:

Price transparency – understand your obligations to publish information on price and services

Complaints – understand what information you must publish on your complaints process, including the roles of the SRA/Legal Ombudsman

SRA digital badge – details on how download and use the digital badge
