Individual renewal application (2018/19)

Practising certificate and registration renewals will take place throughout October.

To help you get ready, here is a summary of what you will be asked to do.

Section 1 - Getting started

This tells you what your application is for and what information you need to complete.

Section 2 - Regulation 3 of the SRA Practising Regulations 2011

If you are subject to regulation 3 of the SRA Practising Regulations, you will be asked to provide details.

Regulation 3 applies to applications following an issue such as a financial, criminal, or regulatory conduct matter.

Section 3 - Continuing competence

You will be asked: “Have you reflected on your practice and addressed any identified learning and development needs in the year to 31 October 2018?”.

Section 4 - Reduced fees

If you are currently, or have recently been, on maternity leave or are a Registered Foreign Lawyer based mainly outside England and Wales, you may be eligible for a reduced fee.

Section 5 - Summary

Section 6 - Fee/declaration/payment

This is where you will confirm the information given within this application is correct and the declaration statement must be ticked to proceed.
