Modern Law Conference - Evolution or Revolution?

The conference provides updates on the fast-paced change in the legal services market and considers whether that change is nothing more than a steady evolutionary process or the early days of a revolution.

The conference will be opened by David Edmonds, Chair of the Legal Services Board, addressing the controversial question of whether we are ready for a single regulator of legal services, followed by a panel of regulators to discuss this issue. Panellists will also be probed on issues including whether the traditional partnership model has a future and whether you need to be an ABS to prosper today.

Mercia Solicitors Conference 2014

This  one-day conference has been specifically designed for accountants with responsibility for a number of solicitor clients. Agnieszka Scott, Director of Policy, will be speaking about the relationship between the COFA (Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration) and the reporting accountant, and the information an accountant needs to report to the SRA. She will also address whether the rating of participating insurers will provide stability in the PII markets.

Manchester Law Society Regulatory Conference

Paul Philip will be giving a keynote speech at this one-day conference to discuss regulatory issues and take questions from members of the Manchester Law Society.

The new Chief Executive of the SRA, Paul Philip, will be delivering a keynote speech at the conference on Saturday 17th May focusing on the priorities for the SRA.

Risk and Compliance Annual Conference: Maximising Stability, Minimising Risk

This conference is aimed at those involved in, or are accountable for, their firm’s compliance and regulatory responsibilities.
