April 2023 SQE2 results published

The results for the SQE2 April 2023 sitting have been published and 996 candidates received their results today. Of these, 923 candidates sat SQE2 for the first time and they achieved an 80% pass rate.

The overall pass rate, including those who were resitting for the first or second time, was 77%. While the pass mark for each sitting was:

  • Sitting 1 - 62%
  • Sitting 2 - 62%
  • Sitting 3 - 61%
  • Sitting 4 - 61%

SQE2 is made up of 16 stations that test legal skills and application of legal knowledge. Each station is an individual 'exercise' that candidates take as part of SQE2. There are 12 written stations and four oral stations.
