The Tribunal has certified that there is a case to answer in respect of allegations which are or include that :-
- From 10 March 2021 to 8 February 2022, Mrs Reynolds failed to take any action to register her client’s Lasting Power of Attorney with the Office of Public Guardian;
- On a date between 8 February 2022 and 25 February 2022, Mrs Reynolds changed the terms of her client’s Lasting Power of Attorney, without her client’s consent, instructions or knowledge and sent it to the Office of Public Guardian to be registered;
- On a date between 8 February 2022 and 25 February 2022, Mrs Reynolds changed the date on her client’s cheque, without her client’s consent, instructions or knowledge and sent it to the Office of Public Guardian to be presented at the client’s bank.
The allegations are subject to a Hearing before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal and are as yet unproven.
