The website for Horsman, George & Partners LLP at ‘www.horsmangeorgellp.com’ is operating falsely claiming to be a law firm.

What is the scam?

The website at 'www.horsmangeorgellp.com' is operating falsely providing an SRA digital badge that supposedly includes a link to verify the website.

The website provides an email address of 'info@horsmangeorgellp.com' and an office address of  '11 Back Wynd, Aberdeen, AB10 1JN, United Kingdom'. It also claims that the firm is based in London.

The website also states that 'Michael Horsman' and 'Nicole George' are partners.

The SRA has also seen correspondence purporting to be from 'Michael Horsman' of 'Horsman, George & Partners LLP' relating to an 'unclaimed life insurance policy' held by its 'deceased client'.

The document provides a mobile number of '+44745 217 0442' and an email address of 'michael@horsmangeorgellp.com'.

The SRA does not authorise and regulate a firm called 'Horsman, George & Partners' nor does it authorise and regulate a solicitor called 'Michael Horsman' or 'Nicole George'.

Any business or transaction done through a firm called 'Horsman, George & Partners', solicitors claiming to be called 'Michael Horseman' or 'Nicole George', the email addresses of info@horsmangeorgellp.com and 'michael@horsmangeorgellp.com', and the mobile telephone number of '+447452170442', are not undertaken by a solicitors' practice or individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.

Is there a genuine firm or person?

The SRA does authorise and regulate a genuine firm of solicitors called Horsman Solicitors Limited. Its website is www.horsmansolicitors.co.uk.

The genuine firm of Horsman Solicitors Limited is based in Lewes, East Sussex and only deals with criminal matters.

The genuine firm of Horsman Solicitors Limited has confirmed it does not have any connection to the correspondence and website referred to in the above alert.

What should I do?
