What is the scam?
The SRA has been informed that a website at ‘www.bclplegal.com’ is operating misusing the trading name of a genuine firm of solicitors (see below).
Any business or transaction through the website ‘www.bclplegal.com’ is not undertaken by a firm or individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.
Is there a genuine firm or person?
The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine firm of solicitors called Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP. It uses the trading name BCLP.
The firm’s genuine website is www.bclplaw.com.
The genuine firm of Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP, trading as BCLP, has confirmed that it has no connection to the website referred to in the above alert.
What should I do?
