Emily Brady who is not a solicitor, was employed by J F Law Limited whose head office is at Unit 35, Champion European Suites, Arrowe Brook Road, Wirral, CH49 0AB 11 between March 2019 and 20 JuHi ly 2021.
It was found that Ms Brady falsified client signatures on three separate witness statements to be used in court proceedings. In doing so, she breached Principles 2, 4, 5 and 7 of the SRA Principles (2019) and breached paragraph 1.4 of the SRA Code of Conduct for Firms (2019).
A finding of dishonesty was made against Ms Brady and she was made subject to a disqualification order under section 99 of the Legal Services Act 2007. This order prevents her from holding any of the following roles in a licensed body:
- Head of Legal Practice
- Head of Finance and Administration
- A manager
- An employee.
She was also directed to pay costs of £600.
