About the statement of legal knowledge

The Statement of Legal Knowledge sets out the knowledge that solicitors are required to demonstrate at the point of qualification. This matches the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) Assessment Specification for SQE1, and covers the following areas, as well as Ethics and professional conduct.

  1. Business Law and Practice; Dispute Resolution; Contract; Tort; Legal System of England and Wales; Constitutional and Administrative Law and EU Law and Legal Services.
