Recovering costs and payments from third parties

This guidance is to help you understand when and how we recover costs and payments from third parties following an intervention. We may have regard to it when exercising our regulatory functions.

Glossary terms

SRA

means the Solicitors Regulation Authority

person

includes a body of persons (corporate or unincorporated)

defaulting practitioner

has the meaning given in rule 5 of the SRA Compensation Fund Rules.
