New code of conduct for investigators
06 March 2025
The Association of British Investigators (ABI) has introduced a new code of conduct for members to make sure they uphold the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). The code of conduct was approved by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and can be found on the commissioner's website.
The code is voluntary and will be measured against feedback gained through an independent auditor. This will include the views of the legal profession, which is the largest sector using investigative and litigation support services.
Further information on the code and how you might influence its success is available on the ABI's site.
